Your journey will begin at Leticia’s airport. Here, you will enjoy activities such as birdwatching, canoeing or kayaking, artisanal fishing, a night outing, and swimming in the lake or the Amazon River (depending on the season). You will spend your first night of disconnectiion in here.
The next day, after breakfast, you will head to the second stop, the town of Puerto Nariño. After a little walk and enjoying a local lunch, you will take a tour of the surrounding communities, visit the lookout tower, craft shops, relevant monuments for the community's history, and much more. Towards the end of the day, a family from the Tikuna indigenous community will invite you for dinner at their maloca. You will end the night with a nocturnal walk and return to your accommodation for rest.
On your last day, after breakfast, you will take another boat to visit the Peruvian community of San Antonio, also known as Cacao Island. Here, you will explore an ecological trail created by the community to observe, study, and protect primates, birds, and especially sloths. We recommend wearing long sleeves and long pants, as well as using repellent, this way you will avoid getting bitten by mosquitos or other insects. A hat or a cap and sunglasses to protect yourself from the sun is advisable too. As you will be deep in the rainforest, you should bring waterproof clothing. A pair of rubber boots will be given to you so you can walk comfortably through the jungle.
