What about sailing Palomino River in a different way? In this tour the guide will take you to an area called Caracolí, around Palomino. There you will have a board, a paddle and a life jacket. You will have 45 minutes to enjoy the cold and revitalizing waters of the river and have fun. This is a short worth-doing experience. Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta covers areas of La Guajira, Palomino and, of course, Santa Marta. From this stunning mountain ranges, the Palomino River emerges, and it meets the sea. The guide will pick you up and in only 10 minutes you will get to the river in an area called Caracolí. Once there the guide will give you the paddle and the board and a life vest. The guide will also give you safety recommendations and a short lesson on how to do it if you are new to it.
You’ll have 45 minutes to wander around the river on your board, as well as maintaining your balance. A gift to stay in present time and place!
Once you finish, you and your guide will go back to Palomino and your hotel, and memories of a fun sport will remain forever.
