Actually, UNESCO named the valley a Coffee Cultural Landscape of Colombia Heritage Site.

It is a great combination. So, believe us when we say it is one of those natural treasures you can’t miss. See with your own eyes why this is one of the best towns in the coffee region of Colombia
This tour will start after meeting your experienced guide at your hotel, here you will be given all recommendations needed. Then you will be headed to the entrance of the valley. From the very beginning you will easily appreciate tall and stunning Wax Palm Trees: our national emblematic tree, that has environmental and popular importance to the region and the country.

As you keep hiking some sloppy hills you will get to one of the viewpoints of the valley with great panoramic views for amazing photos. And, if you suddenly get caught by the mists and winds, don’t worry about it, that’s how weather tends to be, and it will only make the landscapes look even more magical. After that amazing experience, you will have time to eat lunch (not included) before heading back.
Some say there is an endless spring in Cocora Valley, its annual average temperature is 15ºC, the highest being 25ºC and the lowest 12ºC. This is an ecosystem with a very humid climate, you can expect light rain almost daily.
Trekking boots or shoes, long pants, hoodies, and a raincoat are the best options for visiting the Cocora Valley and Salento. It is also recommended to wear sunglasses and sunscreen, even if it's foggy.
The Cocora Valley is about 25 kilometers from Salento, and the journey in Willys (traditional all-terrain vehicle) takes about 30 minutes.
In general, you must pay an entrance fee to access the Cocora Valley and walk its path. However, when you book our tour, these tickets are already included.
The Cocora Valley is considered a paradise on earth thanks to its unique ecosystem, which makes it fertile ground with an abundance of fauna and flora.
